Are you ready to start a new week? It's been half of March and in the meantime we've had the big Oscar 2023 award. Did your favorite movie take the statuette?
This year, the feature “Everything Everywhere All At Once” was the big winner in this category and did you know that this film cost around 25 million dollars to produce?

Well, dear reader, at least that's what the internet says. If this information is true, which is very likely, this audiovisual insurance could cost up to 500 thousand dollars, with all the coverages contracted, if this insurance were hired in Brazil, that is.

And what do we mean by all the coverages, you might ask. All coverages means an all risks insurance with 100% protection, where all relevant coverage is included in the insurance policy, not just the basic and usual ones.

All insurance consists of basic and additional coverage, and additional coverage can only be purchased after purchasing basic coverage.
For example, you must take out No Show coverage in order to apply for additional coverage for Missed Pregnancy, or in the case of additional coverage for Loss of Electricity Supply, you will need to have coverage for Extra Costs.

Of course, the form of contracting and the coverage available will vary from insurer to insurer and type of risk. But don't worry, we are specialists with more than a decade in this type of market and we can help you to hire the best protection for your production!

Today, on our #MondayBlog we are going to talk about Audiovisual Insurance, once again, but with a focus on coverage known as basic in the Miscellaneous Risks (RD) branch that can be essential for the safety of your project and that you may not even know exists.
Shall we?!

PROPS AND SETS
Props and Sets coverage includes makeup, costumes, accessories and every object that makes up the film set, such as furniture and structures.
This coverage covers the insured in case of material loss or damage caused to objects, whether owned by the policy holder or third parties.
The coverage is still applicable in cases of explosion, theft and aggravated theft, as well as damages resulting from transport operations of objects, when conducted by agents or employees of the Insured.

CHARACTER VEHICLES
Yes, cars can be specifically covered during filming. This cover was created to guarantee protection in case of loss and/or material damage caused to the character vehicles during the audiovisual production. In the same way as the previous coverage, the insurance also covers situations such as explosion, theft and qualified theft, as well as damages resulting from transport operations of these vehicles when driven or transported by agents or employees of the Insured.

BAGGAGE
Are you going to film in another city, state or country? Then the Baggage coverage is necessary in the composition of your audiovisual insurance. It exists to protect the luggage of audiovisual production employees when they travel on behalf of the insured production.
The coverage is expressive and covers losses and/or material damage caused to baggage, including situations such as explosion, theft and aggravated theft.

PRODUCT OFFICE CONTENTS
Every audiovisual production has its office set up at the production site and it was with that in mind that this coverage was born. It exists to guarantee protection in the event of material loss and/or damage, including explosion, theft and aggravated theft, to the normal occupation assets of the offices used by the insured audiovisual production.

In this coverage, it is possible to cover the assets of own offices or third parties, such as: furniture (sofas, curtains, rugs, tables, chairs); office equipment and supplies (computers, telephone and intercom devices, surveillance cameras, ink cartridges, televisions, monitors, fax machines, copiers, scanners); And household appliances and utensils (refrigerator, stove, blender, coffee maker, toaster, drinking fountains, air conditioners, crockery and pots).

In addition, depending on the insurer, there is still a guarantee of coverage in case of damage and material loss to the insured property due to abnormal variations in voltage, short circuit, electric arc, heat generated accidentally by electricity, electrical discharges, static electricity or any other effect or phenomenon of an electrical nature, including lightning that occurred outside the insured location.
Quite complete, isn't it?

CASH
And last but not least, we have coverage related to values, or money, transported in the hands of a bearer.
The coverage exists to provide protection in the event of losses related to material losses and damages resulting from theft or theft of amounts exclusively intended for the expenses of the insured audiovisual production and when in the hands of holders duly accredited for this purpose and over 18 years old.< br> The destruction or loss of values in the holder's hands, as a result of or as a result of a simple attempted robbery and when resulting from an accident or sudden illness suffered by the holders, are also indemnified under this coverage.

But pay attention! In this coverage, compensation is only granted for amounts intended for daily production needs when in the hands of a carrier within the production facilities, including during transit on external missions for shipments, payments, collections or withdrawals, understanding as such the withdrawal of the money from cash dispensers and/or bank branches.

Did you already know these coverages? We often focus our attention on large Civil Liability coverages or the famous Audiovisual Triad, and forget about smaller but powerful coverages that certainly help a lot to protect your production.
