Event Insurance & Christmas Exhibitions
Can Christmas Exhibitions Be Covered in Event Insurance?

Hello!
The countdown to the long-awaited Christmas Day has already started! Only five days to go, dear reader!

Have you prepared your playlist with the best hits to start getting into the Christmas rhythm during the week?

We at Prospecto were totally influenced by the season and decided to talk about Christmas exhibitions and how event insurance can help protect all that magic we can feel when we visit these places.

But before we start talking a little bit about Christmas exhibition insurance, let's go to a very important question. Are you for or against adding raisins to Christmas recipes? Will you put raisins in Greek rice, in farofa, in panettone, in absolutely EVERYTHING? Or absolutely NOT?

Villa Lobos Christmas Villa

Christmas Exhibitions in São Paulo
Last year everything stopped, including one of the most anticipated celebrations by children and adults. Christmas was set aside in the name of seeking protection from those we love.
This year, however, looks like it's going to be a lot more lively!

In São Paulo, for example, Avenida Paulista arrived with a bang, bringing Christmas decorations throughout its length, with a Christmas tree 15 meters high and with the presence of artificial snow.

The Villa-Lobos Park became the Christmas Villa and it is beautiful to see, there is also the traditional tree there too, except that it is 65 meters tall, the Santa Claus house is decorated and to close it all with a golden key you can even skate on the ice!

In Ibirapuera Park we have the light show on the lake, which always brings people together to watch the show on its shores.

For those who like Christmas music, the city is offering many shows such as the Christmas Concerts at the Municipal Theater and the Christmas Candlelight: Tchaikovsky, The Nutcracker by candlelight.

The city's malls are also beautiful with all the decorations, lights and toys.
Anyway, if you like Christmas, there are many places and events to visit until the beginning of the year 2022.

All very wonderful, isn't it? But rarely does anyone stop and wonder how these outdoor exhibits can be covered?

Christmas Exhibitions – The Insurance
Within the Event Insurance product, there is a classification for exhibitions that is aimed precisely at Christmas. In this insurance, it is possible to cover every light, decoration, and even the public who will visit the site in the event of a sudden and unexpected accident caused by negligence or fault on the part of the exhibition organizer.

Obviously, each location mentioned above must have at least a Civil Liability insurance, as in São Paulo this insurance is mandatory, when there is the possibility of large movement of people.

It is necessary to understand that it is not just a festival that can be considered an event. A mall decorated for Christmas is an exhibition event, as is a street or avenue decorated with the purpose of attracting the public.

You might not know that event insurance is a complete option that will protect the producer's pocket from exposure in case of fire, theft, and in some cases, even provide protection against vandalism.

There are many coverage options present in this product, and we at Prospecto can and want to assist you in contracting the correct and fair insurance for your exhibition, be it Christmas, or any other theme.

Fox News tree on fire

Fox News and its tree
On December 8th, Fox News found itself in a totally unusual situation.
A man scaled the Christmas tree structure of the news channel, located on the Avenue of the Americas in Manhattan, and set it on fire. The act was seen by security guards at the company's headquarters in New York City, who called the police and firefighters.

The man was identified as Craig Tamanaha and he was caught red-handed at the scene, facing seven counts including criminal perversion, reckless danger, and arson.

Fortunately, the fire caused no injuries, but it surprised the spectators, as well as destroying the 15-metre-tall tree and its decoration with 10,000 ornaments and 100,000 lights.

The tree has already been replaced and the lesson is there. We hope that Fox News has protected itself with a nice insurance, so that it doesn't have to personally take out the new tree and any other expenses related to the placement of the new structure.

In events and in life, there are always accidents and malicious acts. When there is money involved, we advise our clients to seek protection with good insurance, as unexpected and urgent expenses are always a huge headache.

I hope you enjoyed knowing a little about event insurance and one of its applicability.

And we wish you readers a wonderful Christmas, surrounded by the people you love.

We look forward to seeing you for our next #MondayBlog.

Have a great week, lovers!

Merry Christmas!!
